“Technology Fast 50” Pharmaceutical Company selects Winchester’s Protocol Manager –CTMS to streamline its drug development process, lower administration costs, and improve trial management capabilities
Winchester Business Systems, a software and consulting provider to the life sciences industry, announces that a leading multi-national pharmaceutical company specializing in the development of acute hospital care therapeutics has selected Protocol Manager, an advanced clinical trial management system, to meet their diverse and growing clinical trial needs.
The clinical organization thoroughly evaluated all of the major CTMS products to determine which system could best meet its requirements for collaboration and versatility. The ability for the system to build on “templates” from successful trials and yet adapt to new requirements based on research opportunities were prime factors in the decision.
“Our trials have a very complex patient visit and investigator payment structure highlighted by the fact that we are utilizing hundreds of investigator sites worldwide,” said the director of clinical operations. “As we are using a mix of our own team and outside CROs, the system must be available to everyone on the team so we can have the most accurate information at the earliest possible moment.”
According to the company’s Director of R&D, a major factor in the decision was Winchester’s consultancy. The technical consultants who will implement the CTMS have many years’ experience utilizing technology to manage trials. Clinical operations as the company plans to benefit from Winchester’s practical advice learned from experience working with many clinical organizations.
“We are pleased and excited about this partnership,” said Michael Regentz, Winchester’s Managing Director. “Our clients recognize the value of using one centralized clinical trials management system to streamline their drug development process and we are committed to ensuring the mutual success of each engagement.”
