Compatibility with New Daylight Savings Time Requirements (05 Feb 2007)

The Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed on July 29, 2005 extends daylight savings time in the United States and Canada. Beginning in 2007, the US will switch on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.

This change is effective three weeks earlier and one week later than previous standards.

How will this affect your Winchester Business Systems products?

If your computer operating systems are up to date with manufacturer provided patches, Winchester Business Systems products’ will continue without interruption.

To ensure that your operating systems are up to date, you should review the product information on the manufacturers’ websites. Most manufacturers have posted recommended actions and downloads on their websites:

Microsoft: Preparing for daylight saving time changes in 2007 http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx

IBM/Lotus: Support Alerts
